Association is a network of university groups, schools and individual
members across the Pakistan who exchange ideas and organize events
to promote the work of the UN among young people.
Young Professionals
I'm graduate/young professional: what about me?
UNAP Young Professionals Network brings together a diverse mix of
young professionals in their 20s and 30s who support a strong role
for the UN in international affairs. The Network provides opportunities
for like-minded individuals to meet each other and to engage with
politicians and influential members of the business community.
Businessmen
The Business Council for the United Nations Association of Pakistan
Business Solutions for a Better World
The Business Council for the United Nations Association of Pakistan
is a catalyst for action, understanding and innovative business
opportunities between member companies and the United Nations. Through
its network of partnerships in economic development, health, education,
and technology, the Council advances the common interest of both
the UN and the business community working toward a more prosperous
and peaceful world.
In this era of globalization, it is becoming increasingly more important
to engage business and industry leaders with the vital work of the
United Nations. Every day corporations are increasingly engaging
in efforts to help combat poverty, hunger and disease while providing
vital support and opportunities for the education for millions across
the globe. The United Nations Association of Pakistan
is leading the world in these efforts in setting international policies
and standards to make our world a better and safer place for all.
The goal of the Business Council for the United Nations is to provide
our members with unique opportunities to directly connect with the
United Nations and its extended network of organizations and country
representatives working in areas of interest to them and their companies.
The United Nations including its many
affiliated agencies, represents a vast global market for suppliers
of virtually all types of goods and services.
In line with General Assembly resolutions
and decisions by other UN Agency Executive Boards, United Nations
Association of Pakistan Business Council is making great efforts
to identify new sources of supply in order to create an expanded
and more equitable geographical distribution of procurement.
In close cooperation with the UN system,
UNAP Business Council has established a common database of potential
suppliers covering goods and services normally required by UN in
different parts of the world. After screening, the supplier information
is made available to the UN agencies for their procurement needs
and it would open windows for business communities. Registration
within the UN System and the facilities for international market
exposure will become a reality for Pakistani businesses and their
products.
This UNAP Business Council Brochures
provides basic facts concerning the procurement activities and requirements
of the United Nations system of organizations; let us hope that
the initiatives which have been taken in this direction will assist
the business community in offering their goods and services to this
market.
